ReCell® Hair Micro Transplant
For patients experiencing early-to-moderate hair thinning or expanding areas of hair loss, iStemZ by Rigenera Activa AMT may not provide sufficient coverage for larger treatment areas. ReCell® Hair Micro Transplant is designed to address broader areas of thinning hair through advanced Stem Cell Hair Restoration technology.
ReCell® utilizes the same regenerative medicine principle based on Hair Follicle Stem Cells, but with a more advanced and proprietary extraction technology that allows for a higher concentration and greater quantity of regenerative cells and growth factors. This enables the treatment to cover larger thinning areas more effectively while helping to strengthen weakened hair follicles, reduce hair loss, and support healthier, fuller-looking hair.
Despite its advanced regenerative process, the treatment remains minimally invasive, requires only a short procedure time, and allows patients to resume their normal daily activities shortly after treatment.

ReCell® Hair Micro Transplant Procedure

The surgeon will trim or shave a small area at the back of the scalp, known as the Donor Area, where the hair follicles are naturally less affected by DHT hormones. This area is selected to facilitate the collection of healthy hair follicle tissue and Hair Follicle Stem Cells for the ReCell® Hair Micro Transplant procedure.
Long-acting local anesthesia will then be administered to ensure patient comfort throughout the treatment. Patients remain fully conscious during the procedure but experience minimal discomfort and no significant pain.

The process begins with harvesting hair follicle tissue from the occipital area or around the ears, where the hair follicles are naturally more resistant to the effects of DHT hormones. The collected tissue is then carefully processed and examined under specialized medical techniques to isolate and select only healthy live hair follicle cells and Hair Follicle Stem Cells.
Using ReCell® Hair Micro Transplant technology, four hair follicle tissue samples measuring approximately 2 millimeters in diameter are extracted from the dermal cup sheath area, which is known to be less affected by DHT-related hair loss.

The harvested cells are processed using advanced medical technology and carefully examined under a microscope to isolate and extract only healthy live cells, including Hair Follicle Stem Cells and regenerative growth factors, for use in the hair restoration treatment.

The extracted hair follicle cells and Hair Follicle Stem Cells are then injected into areas affected by hair thinning in order to help stimulate and repair weakened hair follicles. This regenerative process helps support healthier hair growth, improve hair density, reduce hair loss, and promote thicker, fuller-looking hair naturally.
